A‘Digital Innovation Hub‘ (DIHBU), a collaborative ecosystem of companies, has been set up in Burgos to help industry in Castilla y León to tackle digital transformation.
This tool is born with an initial capital of 60,000 euros, contributed by the companies adhered to the project; and aims to accompany companies in the digitization process, defending their interests in the application of all digital enablers that make up the new connected industry.
The “Digital Innovation Hub” will make it possible to bring Industry 4.0 enablers closer to companies in Burgos and Castilla y León, through proven technology demonstrators. In addition, they will be eligible for grants offered by the European Union for digital innovation projects, developed within the “digital hubs” and oriented to the business world.
A union between companies, technology experts, administrations, clusters and financing providers, which aims to boost competitiveness in the main productive sectors through new technologies.
Sinterpack ‘s contribution goes beyond the economic aspect and aims to be an example for many other technology companies, through the creation of a collaborative robotics laboratory.
Eleven other companies (Gonvarri, Centro de servicios, Grupo Cropu, Tacón Décor, Bridgestones Hispania, Keyland Sistems, Fundación Caja de Burgos, Ubisa-Bekaert, Adisseo España, Metecno España and Glaxo Smith Kline) have already joined this project, which was conceived by the Confederación de Asociaciones empresariales de Burgos (FAE), the Castilla y León technology institute, Telefónica and Asti, in addition to Sinterpack.
The first actions have been the launching of the web page www.dihbu-indrustry.fundibox.com and the contracting of the consultancy Funding Box to facilitate the different projects that converge within this community to be eligible for grants or European funding.
